hey family!!!!
so its been one year
since this most wonderful and amazing and lest not forget the most
handsome missionary ever left home and backed his bags into the
wonderful world of the WA-TAC
a song from the nashville tribute band did a cd to
missionary work and there is a song called "the hardest thing ive ever
loved to do" and the words speak true right now and will feel true my
whole mission. but ive learned so much in the past year!
something that i learned this morning was that Nephi
is one amazing guy! we hear this all the time but i really love what i
learned today. in 1 Nephit 2:16
we learn that he had "great desires" to know the mysteries of God. in 1
Nephi 3:7 is the FAMOUS i will go and do the things which the Lord hath
commanded. in that same chapter they go to get the brass plates from
Laban. the first 2 times are unsuccesful but before they go back an
Angel of the Lord appers to tell them that Laban will be put into their
path and they will get them. immadeatly Laman and Lamuel start to
complain like they always do and so nephi tells them about how much the
Lord has done for Prophet of old. Usually this is always Moses. now
what i learned was that because Nephi desired and had the attitude to do
what they Lord wanted him to do. i think he had that attitude becuase
of whats called "assurance of hope." Hope is part of faith and thats
another topic one day but because he knew the Lord has dne things for
others in the past then he can also get the same results.
so this is where is testimony comes from and also a
part of mine. I know that God is the "same yesterday today and
forever"(Hebrews 8:13)
and that we has done many things for others and will do it for us no
what happens to us. he loves us all and we are his children. and i love
you all so much!!!
