hey everyone! how was the reading for you all this
past week? hope your still doing it. if you are you should be around
1nephi chapter 8(pg 14)
this past week we had
the baptism of Steve McClellan. it was so wounderful. because of his
hard time with his knees we did the baptism at a ymca! they had a lift
to get in out of the pool. I say out cause he is a funny guy and walked
in the pool 15 min before we began the service. we had a total of 5
people in the water with us to help him and make sure that all went well
and was safe. the people in order from left to right in the photo are
brother Richardson, brother brown, elder muir(my comp), steve McClellan,
me, brother shoop.
steve is an amazing convert! as ive said before it
has been great to see him realize that he is a child of God. that
wounderful piece of doctrine that is true. at his baptism you can just
see the change in him and how the gospel has made a difference in his
life. he is a much happier person now and loves to be at church.
the best part of the baptism was when he is was being lifted out of
the water. it was silent and so peaceful! none of the kids that where
there made a single noise!!! I loved it so much and just testified to me
once again that this is the true church of jesus Christ!
love you all
elder torres
