so this past week we had a lot of major events take
places. we had our mission tour, last fireside and the WATAC that it is
now and then the broadcast from the MTC on missionary work.
so something that i really learned from Elder Piper was about hope. long
ago my thoughts on hope use to be that hope was the little brother to
faith. now and over my mission ive learned that hope is pretty much
everything. something that Elder Piper said was that back after the
soviet union fell the life expectancy fell 6 years in 8 years time. and
the reason for it was that there was no hope in life for anyone. they
couldnt get jobs or anything so all hope for anything was gone. and its
hope that drives everything. when we wake up on fridays we hope that we
got paid or we hope the water still works or we hope that the world
wasnt destoryed over night. so when it comes to the gospel we hope that
God is there and then faith that he loves us. and faith is a courious
thing as well. it becomes are assurance that things are true. and we
know that God is there and loves us. and that is something that ive come
to realize is faith and hope are ever connected eternaly.
love you all
