so this past week was pretty
awesome! we had out last transfer meeting as we know it now, where all
of the mission will gather. the brethren have asked that we change it so
its was a really good meeting and something that i really took from
what one of the elders that is now home said is that we have rules so
God can give us power to fight the battle we are in. it was really cool
to think about it in that manner then i had ever before thought of.
elder Hernandez is my new comp he is a cool guy and i
love him and know that this will be a good transfer. this past weekend
we had a baptism!!! a lady by the name of dawn. they had been teaching
her for the past 2 weeks and i had the sweet privilege to be apart of her
conversion to the gospel! she has so much faith in what she is doing
and all that she has overcome in her life. it was just a blessing from
our heavenly father.
this past week something that i took from the
scriptures in the reading was the message that abinidi taught to king Noah and his priests. and how in the end abindi didn't even know that
what he said touched the lives of one person. that one person who name
is Alma(the older). Alma went out and taught the general population of
the people and had many that followed him.
it goes to what we are taught that someone will end
up listening to what we say. like Paul says in 1 cor 3:5-10 that some
plant some read and sow but in the end we will all sow seed and reap.
that is a very true thing we never know what will happen to us and who
will open their does to the missionaries and one day listen. love you
all
elder Torres
