hey family!!
so this week was lots of fun and full of adventure. but the most amazing thing was conference!
as
president monson said this was one of the most amazing confrences that
he had been to and he has been an apostle for a LONG time. the talks
that I loved the most were by elders christofferson, Holland,
utchdorf(priesthood session), and eying and oaks. the common thing that I
saw over conference was that we need to repent, hold together in strong
family and that we are in the perils times.
president utchdorf said "true repentance is
transformation." now when I think of transformation I think of those
wonderful robots in desgise that are roming around fighting. hahah but
its a true. true conversion to the gospel of Christ is gonna make us
change and be better each and everyday. we should let repentance change
us and become something amazing. just as a awesome autobot like optimous
prime goes from a sweet looking diesel truck he turns into a
magnificent maching that has lots of small details. so should out lives
be like that too. we should look simple and good but become a truly
amazing servant of Christ.
then onto my favorite topic that I heard, family!! so
many of the talks were on this very topic and one of the major things I
learned was about out to treat my future wife. president monson when we
talk about his wife and what she ment to him I thought to myself that's
what she should mean to me when I get married. elder D. Todd
christofferson said "let us(men) stand with women in there duties." how
simple and profound is that statement that he made. the simple statement
is everthing to me. I love that God has given the role of providing for
and caring of children to women. I have seen that in my life through
the great examples of my mother and sisters. they have helped me and I
have helped them. and that is my goal in life is to "stand my my [wife]
in ]her] duties."
I love you all and if you missed conference you must go
and watch them and read them. that is our instruction for the next 6
months.
